In 2023-24 school year, white students had highest representation in Floyd County School Districts

The majority of students in Floyd County School Districts were white in the 2023-24 school year, according to the Georgia Department of Education.

Among the 14,653 students attending Floyd County schools, 50.9% were white. Hispanic students were the second most common ethnicity, making up 24% of Floyd County student body.

In the previous school year, white students were also the most common ethnicity in Floyd County School Districts, representing 52.3% of the student body.

Rome City School District had the most even distribution of races among county school districts, which included 39% Hispanic students, 33% African American students, 21% white students, and 2% Asian students.

In the 2023-24 school year, the total number of students enrolled in school districts in the county dropped 0.2% when compared to the previous year.
