Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, a U.S. Congress member from Georgia’s 14th district, expressed her viewpoints on several pertinent issues through a series of tweets on May 4, 2025.

In one post from that morning, Greene critiqued the U.S. approach to overseas resources, stating, “We don’t want the rare Earth minerals in Ukraine that will bind America to never ending spending and military defense.” She underscored the importance of developing American-based rare Earth minerals to foster job creation and enhance national wealth, emphasizing the need for federal government support.

Later that day, Greene commented on international conflict, declaring “Oh the shock and awe of course the CIA and the U.S. ran the war in Ukraine.” She referred to it as “America’s proxy war with Russia,” likening this revelation to the controversy over the origins of COVID-19 and its association with a lab in Wuhan, as reported by the CIA.

In another statement made in the afternoon, Greene announced her intention to vote against a proposed bill, articulating, “I will be voting NO.” She stressed the importance of protecting American citizens’ rights to make consumer choices without governmental penalties and questioned the legislative focus on international concerns over domestic presidential priorities.

Marjorie Taylor Greene serves in the U.S. Congress, representing Georgia’s 14th District, since 2021. She was born in Milledgeville, Georgia, in 1974 and holds a BBA from the University of Georgia.
