Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene announced the passage of her Special Interest Alien Reporting Act (H.R. 275) by the U.S. House of Representatives, with bipartisan support. The legislation mandates the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) to issue monthly public reports on encounters with Special Interest Aliens at the border.

“I’m proud the House has passed my Special Interest Alien Reporting Act,” Greene stated. She emphasized that “the American people deserve to know when dangerous foreign nationals are crossing our border” and asserted that her bill “forces transparency and exposes the national security threats created by Joe Biden’s open-border policies.”

The act requires DHS to report details such as the number, nationality, and location of encounters with individuals classified as Special Interest Aliens—non-U.S. nationals considered potential national security risks based on travel patterns or country of origin.

The first report will cover data from January 20, 2021, through January 19, 2025, spanning President Biden’s term thus far. Subsequent reports are to be released monthly and submitted to both the House and Senate Homeland Security Committees.

According to Greene, since President Biden took office, there has been a significant increase in encounters with foreign nationals from countries like China, Iran, and Syria at the U.S. border. These encounters are described as posing serious risks to national security and public safety.

The bill received support from House Homeland Security Committee Republicans and now awaits consideration in the U.S. Senate.
