Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Georgia’s 14th district, has shared a series of tweets regarding President Trump’s proposed legislation known as the “Big Beautiful Bill.” This bill aims to address various immigration and border security issues.

On May 17, 2025, Greene tweeted about the bill’s provisions, stating that it includes “Border wall funding, ICE agents, CBP reinforcements, deportation funding, and a tax on remittances.” She emphasized that the bill would empower what she termed “Big Beautiful Deportations.”

In a subsequent tweet on May 18, 2025, Greene elaborated on the specifics of the bill. She mentioned that it calls for “hiring at least 10,000 new ICE agents and funding 1 million deportations per year.” Additionally, she noted that it provides enough detention space for “100,000 illegals per day,” asserting that this fulfills a mandate given by American voters in November.

Later on May 18, Greene addressed confusion surrounding the bill. She expressed her desire for Congress to be compelled to pass a balanced budget annually and suggested that failure to do so should render members ineligible for re-election. However, she acknowledged that “clearly I don’t have it my way because” this is not currently the case.

Marjorie Taylor Greene was born in Milledgeville, Georgia in 1974 and graduated from the University of Georgia with a BBA in 1996. She resides in Rome and has been serving since replacing Tom Graves in Congress in 2021.
