On Tuesday, March 17, at 6 p.m., Hunter Atkins, a former Rockmart High School standout, helped lead Georgia State Panthers to an 8-2 win against the West Georgia Wolves in NCAA Division I baseball.
GSU Baseball Complex hosted the contest, marking the first meeting of the season between the Panthers and the Wolves.
Atkins gave up one earned run in 4.1 innings, walking five batters and striking out three.
The Panthers are set for their next contest Friday, March 20, at 5 p.m. at GSU Baseball Complex, facing the Arkansas State Red Wolves.
