Georgia State falls to Mercer 16-6 in Division I baseball matchup featuring Hunter Atkins

On Tuesday, March 10, at 6 p.m., Georgia State Panthers, with former Rockmart High School standout Hunter Atkins on the roster, were defeated 16-6 by the Mercer Bears in an NCAA Division I baseball contest.

The contest was held at the GSU Baseball Complex. This was the teams’ second meeting this season. In the prior game on Wednesday, Feb. 18, the Panthers fell 8-0 to the Bears.

Atkins took the mound for 2.1 innings and issued three walks.

Georgia State’s next game is set for Friday, March 13, at 6 p.m. at Kennedy Center Field, where they will face the Marshall Thundering Herd.
