Calhoun City Schools announces 2026 Young Georgia Authors grade-level winners

Calhoun City Schools has announced the grade-level winners for the 2026 Young Georgia Authors competition. This statewide contest highlights student achievement in writing and recognizes creativity among students from kindergarten through twelfth grade.

Each winner was chosen to represent their respective grade at the upcoming Regional competition. The list of honorees includes Ellie Miller (Kindergarten), Khalani Heath (1st Grade), Marley Grantham (2nd Grade), Ella Iko (3rd Grade), Asher Caldwell (4th Grade), Chelsea Errickson (5th Grade), Brielle Reyes (6th Grade), Nathalie Obregon (7th Grade), Francisca Flores Garcia (8th Grade), Ayden Lampe (9th Grade), Paiden White (10th Grade), Lindsey Cox (11th Grade), and Isaac Tibbs (12th Grade).

In a statement, Calhoun City Schools said, “Calhoun City Schools proudly celebrates these outstanding young authors for their hard work and achievement. We look forward to seeing them represent the Black and Gold Standard of Excellence at the Regional competition. Go Jackets!”

The Young Georgia Authors competition is designed to promote academic excellence as well as artistic expression through writing across Georgia schools.
